Chatri Sityodtong Reveals 3 ONE Super Series Bouts For ONE: NO SURRENDER

ONE Championship - June 29, 2020

Last week, ONE Championship announced that they will return to action on 31 July in Bangkok, Thailand with ONE: NO SURRENDER, a closed-door, audience-free show.

In a separate announcement on Facebook on Sunday, ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed three ONE Super Series bouts scheduled for the promotion’s flagship event.

In a pair of World Title clashes, ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon will defend his gold against compatriot Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy.

Rodtang steps into this clash after defending his World Title against Jonathan “The General” Haggerty at ONE: A NEW TOMORROW in Bangkok earlier in January. Petchdam, on the other hand, recently defeated Kohei “Momotaro” Kodera at ONE: FIRE & FURY, which also happened in January.

In a heavier weight class, ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy will try to hold off the attacks of “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex.

Petchmorakot won the inaugural featherweight gold against Pongsiri PK.Saenchaimuaythaigym at ONE: WARRIOR’S CODE in Jakarta this past February. Yodsanklai, however, enters this bout on the back of a KO loss to Jamal “Kherow” Yusupov and has much to prove against his compatriot.

The third confirmed bout pits two recent ONE signings against one another. “The Killer Kid” Sittichai Sitsongpeenong meets old foe Superbon for the first time in the Circle in a ONE Super Series kickboxing featherweight match-up.

Sittichai is a 12-time kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion. Superbon is also a multiple-time kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion. Outside of ONE, the two striking superstars met twice, sharing a win apiece.
