ROAD Fighting Championship announces a rematch between top prospects Kim Se-Young and Lee Jeong-Yeong on Xiaomi ROAD FC 043 at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul, Korea on October 28, 2017.
Kim Se-Young vs Lee Jeong-Yeong II
Kim Se-Young (4-0, Apgujeong Gym) is a young and strong prospect who is undefeated in his first year of professional MMA. He’s already faced international competition, making his pro debut in China at ROAD FC 030. Kim has a talented group of fighters to learn from including ROAD FC Lightweight Champion Kwon A-Sol and former Bantamweight Champion Lee Yun-Jun.
Lee Jeong-Yeong (3-1, Ssen Gym) is a submission ace with an excellent amateur record before he turned pro in 2014. Lee then did his mandatory military service and returned in 2016. He continued his winning streak back to back in ROAD FC 33 and 35 with a final split decision in a thrilling match with veteran Kim Ho-Jun.
Kim and Lee first met each other in a battle of the hot prospects at ROAD FC 039. The bout went the distance, and was non-stop action – both fighters were strategic and showed why they are up-and-coming fighters to watch, yet both aggressively went for the finish.
Neither could get it, though a great deal of damage was inflicted. At the end of the bout, the scorecards showed that Kim had gained the edge in points and he was awarded the victory. Kim wasn’t happy with leaving it in the judges’ hands, and Lee was equally upset he couldn’t get the finish, so both have agreed to this rematch. With the fireworks they presented last time, Kim versus Lee 2 should be even more of a thriller.
