Hi MMA Fanatics! It’s Joey, FightGeek’s Rookie MMA Journalist.

I had an incredible, mindblowing time in Bangkok watching my first ever MMA Fight Card on 11 March.

The energy at Impact Arena was contagious, and after just a few minutes among the hoard of fans, I got really amped up. I even managed to sneak a picture of Rika “Tiny Doll” Ishige when she reached the arena!

Rich Franklin was taking photos with fans! Really regretting not taking one with him now.

When it finally came time for the match, I got swept up in the crowd’s excitement. (As you’ll hear in my vlog, there are some moments where I couldn’t help but to cheer and scream even while recording!)

Watching Slot Machine live was a life-changing experience. Guess who just became a fan?

It was really amazing watching all the different fighters and their unique fighting styles, as well as their insane endurance to managed 3 rounds of full-on fighting for 5 minutes straight!

Best of all, I got to head backstage and see the fighters train pre-fight!

The 53rd Fight Card by One Championship was a great success. Holding it in Bangkok was a a genius idea; having such a passionate Thai fan-base cheering on their local stars added to the hype of the entire Card. The stadium was the perfect size, the thrumming excitement was contagious, and the sounds of both the live bands and the shouts of fighters reached the audience crystal clear.

Overall, this Rookie gives Warrior Kingdom two thumbs up.

As promised, I made a vlog of my experiences! Check it out!

Looking forward to bringing more vlogs to you guys soon. Let me know if you enjoyed it!
